FAQ'S
I am a complete beginner … Is this event suitable for me ?
Don't worry if you're new to yoga!
Carefully selected yoga poses can be modified with props & are accessible to all
with no previous experience of yoga required.
You will be welcomed and accepted exactly as you are.
Plus I always instruct and demo a new pose or movement so
you will be able to either watch first if unsure or work alongside me.
Clear instructions encourage correct alignment and the benefits of a posture will be shared.
You will be encouraged to take breaks when needed and differing levels of challenge
are offered allowing everyone to work at their own level.
I am so inflexible and can’t touch my toes!
Can I come to this event ?
Absolutely! Not being flexible becomes more common during the menopause transition
and is a really good reason to start practicing yoga .
Can I attend this event if I have an injury or medical condition ?
Menopause Yoga aims to be quite gentle and accessible to all with modifications where required.
You should always listen to your body and practice with care and caution and
be careful not to attempt postures beyond your capability or that risk further injury.
It is essential that you make me aware of any injury or medical condition by including details on the Registration and Health Screening Form including any particular restrictions which may affect you.
Please note if you answer yes to any of the medical conditions listed, you should seek authorisation
from your GP or healthcare professional to participate in yoga if you haven't previously done so.
Can I eat before the event ?
Yoga is best practiced on an empty stomach but the main yoga session won't start until about 2.30pm.
It would be advisable therefore to have a light brunch or lunch about midday.
Try to avoid having a heavy meal as this will sit in your stomach for about 3 hours!
There will light snacks and refreshments provided. Please let me know if you have any allergies.
What should I wear and bring to the event ?
Wear comfortable loose clothes or a sports top and leggings and a warm layer for relaxation.
Yoga is practiced with bare feet but you may wish to wear socks during meditation & relaxation.
Some women choose to wear ‘sticky’ socks but this is not something I recommend for certain poses.
Please bring water and a pen & paper
Mats will be provided but you may choose to bring your own.
All yoga props will also be provided but for your extra comfort
please bring a cushion to sit on and a blanket.
What time should I arrive to the event ?
Please arrive at 1pm to allow yourself time to settle on your mat
'Welcome & Opening circle' will start promptly at 1.15pm
If you arrive late for unavoidable reasons, please come in quietly ensuring not to disturb anyone.
Can I get a refund if I have to cancel ?
Please note full payment is required at the time of booking this event in order to secure your place.
50% of this payment is non-refundable
If You cancel with more than 28 days' notice in writing, then a 50% refund will be given.
Cancellation with less than 28 days notice is subject to no refund
You may be able to send a suitable substitute in your place,
however this is subject to advance agreement with WendYogini.

Payal
“I have gained a lot of knowledge on menopause. It made me feel so calm and relaxed - so light. I loved how Wendy executed everything. Her energy and voice were so calm and relaxed which made me calm. I feel more empowered and am going to slow down and do more self study, self love. The highlight of this event was all the breathing exercises, child pose using the bolster and the ‘mind meets the breath’ meditation."
Carolyn
"An amazing way to spend a few hours in the company of likeminded people, learning about the menopause, something every female will go through!
The yoga was great and for someone who has never done yoga, it was clear and easy to understand so I had confidence I was doing it all correctly."
Karen
"I have had the most lovely, relaxing afternoon doing something just for me. Wendy was so welcoming, friendly, calm & informative. She explained the yoga poses and breathing techniques clearly and explained why they work. I left feeling totally chilled and
will make sure I make more time for myself. I loved the refreshments too!"
